What a great 2 days! ... continued.
Next was Corinne Younan, the last ever graduate from Nepean Uni Performing Arts.
The school has been disbanded. The uni now has an extra medical course or something boring.
Anyway, Corinne came with a galloping case of "fear of Headshots."
I sat her down in front of my 30 minute instructional video. I knew it would bring her down to earth. It nearly did.
She hated these daylight shots from room 4. I think she'll take a look in 2 weeks (or years) time and love them.
What the doctor ordered is some extremely flattering shots with my "American Lighting." (below) |
Corinne looks a bit like Kylie Minogue in this setup.
She absolutely loved this series. It renewed her confidence in doing photos
where she is not smiling.
She IS better smiling, but at least now can explore both sides.
For her Black and White I recommended her strongest, blondest, smilingest shot.
But the picture was not complete without some Acting Headshots in another character she plays.
A mean beayarch.
When we were finished she said "I am very happy, thank you! I have found my headshot man."
Next was Evin Donohoe from Lucas Management.
He plays the good looking best friend,
the corporate guy,
and makes a surprise appearance as a nerd!
Amazing.... straight out of the Thunderbirds!
Evin also does standup comedy.
For an extra hundred bucks, I shot a variety of shots to promote him on venue ads and posters.
There were about a hundred of these,
so he can go through them at home and decide on a whim which one he would use for any
particular use.
Next is Gary Boulter, who has recently changed agencies and is now at On Set Talent.
This is the 2nd time I have shot Gary,
so he got the 15% "been here before" discount.
He plays a wide variety of roles, but mostly a rubber-faced (very expressive) funny guy.
Gary gets a lot of ads, but he also runs his own murder mysteries, and hosts trivia nights and other events.
I think this is brilliant. He is learning so many skills. Not to mention this makes him able to drop all other employment
and support himself from acting alone for 5 years now.
Gary says he is getting heaps of corporate work, and wants more,
so we did this corporate style headshot. Pretty standard.
This one is a bit more interesting.
I was very surprised to see him turn it on.
He gives great "bad mother."
I think we're out of space so I'll just show one....
this was the last of the day, KH from Random Agency (kids division of Morrissey)
Gorgeous!
Everyone was happy with their shots.
Everyone is telling their friends.
Everyone had a great time.
Especially me!
And ... thanks for dropping by my website.
Although in the last few years I have gained a reputation as the best actor's headshot photographer in Sydney,
the fact is that I do a very wide range of styles and subjects, and even media.
Some creative, some professional, some blatantly commercial!
You'll find the tabs at left will open up layer upon sub-layer of my work.
Some categories may seem to appear twice, like ads. But there are creative ads, and commercial ads,
very different in content.
Drop me a line if you have any feedback... or if you want a corporate or Actor's Headshot!
Cheers,
Jom
